We had a great time yesterday! We managed to get a little trick-or-treating in despite the rain, and went to the zoo earlier in the day for "Boo at the Zoo." She enjoyed showing off her costume to all the animals ("Hi, Elephant! Look at my costume!" followed by a vogue-like pose).

A trip to the zoo disguised as a ladybug would seem an apropos destination. I'm sure the elephants publicly admired your attire although they may have been puzzled by the antennae. I would imagine that the elephants were more asthetically taken by a lady bug than they would have been by a dung beetle...the "official" bug of Africa. Next year, you can go as a dung beetle and wear one of those cheese-head wedges...no one would get the joke but you and me! On second thought forget the dung beetle costume idea...this could negatively impact the confectionary gifting especially if some "junior leaguer" makes the mistake of asking what you are dressed as (?) Overall a nice outfit and I think the rain shoes are a fine accessory accent.
