Fun in the sun!

Here are some long overdue photos and a video for your viewing pleasure. These are from our Mother's Day celebration which involved me playing in the pool and entertaining Mommy. I think the ensemble should give Uncle Bobby more than enough to work with...

Finally, some "fresh" photos...I was beginning to think the next time I would see you would be in a graduation picture! Such wonderful material (and a thanks to your mother for an "honorable mention" among the photo caption copy.) First of all, your pool suit is just smashing! I admire the color coordination with the pool's design...this will be tougher to accomplish as you grow older and realize "so many pools...so hard to find the right matching bikini." There's also the unmistakable DNA imprint of your stomach...your mother's stomach had the same "just inflated" look to it when she was your age! Not to fear, you will grow out of this "shape challenge" in 8 or 10 years. I see we also are experimenting with exactly how to wear sunglasses..."does the bridge 'thingy' go on the top or the bottom?" Hummm...no matter...I believe you have the capacity to be a "trend setter" among the wadding pool set who share your interest in eyewear as a fashion statement. The retro hat is just so-o-o-o Beau Geste. If you are ever forced to move out (after acquiring a motorcycle or a tattoo or the wrong boyfriend) and join the French Foreign Legion you will at least know how the hat fits. And the hat fits you much better than it fits dad (see the video) who seems to have a penchant for "freaky" headgear like cheese wedges a.k.a. potty trainers(see September ,2008). By the way, dad was telling one of the gender challenged dogs not to chew the plants. Good advice to you too since the gender challenged dogs tend to use the plants as "letter boxes" if you know what I mean! What a fine way to spend a Mother's Day. You are truly one of the delights of my life.
