Elizabeth spent the last week going to a half day dance camp at one of our local studios. She was so excited to be a ballerina! On the first day, she walked up to one of the teachers and asked, "Where's the stage?" Oh, dear... They actually did a little bit of ballet, cheer, and tumbling, but all she cared about was wearing her leotard and ballet slippers every day :)

Before you know it, she'll be dancing to that plinkie plink music!!!
Oh, great...dance...the first step to a life of neurotic hysteria! Yes, Elizabeth your mom was in dance for a hundred or so years and, yes, she looked exactly like you do in these photos. As a matter of fact we have a photo of your mother in a tu-tu on our refrigerator! She had dance talent which was obvious at a young age. Prepared her for Pocohontas or some such in the outdoor theater (read this as young hormone gushing people away from home and lightly supervised if you know what I mean) but indirectly led to the meeting with the guy who is your father so I guess everything does happen for a reason and, at least this time, worked out! Dance is a harsh mistress and if you take to it in a big way be prepared for sore muscles, mis-shapen toes, men who are not interested and NO money! What a terrific career. Does lend inself to excellent posture and interesting conversation at cocktail parties. You will be amazed to learn that UB is a major ballet fan. Doesn't fit with his other personality facets but, hey, everyone needs a hobby.
